Our vision is to create a space for our community to feel comfortable in themselves and to have the strength to achieve their goals. Our community is one of our strongest assets, it is very powerful being part of a community like this and feeling like you belong. Through our passionate coaches we create an environment which gives people the confidence to expand what they think is humanly possible and then help them actually achieve it,

Our programs are designed to help you achieve your goals. Our philosophy is that there is no point in doing something 100 times if you can not do it well. We work on mastering the basics and building a strong foundation of strength and skills to be able to handle the challenges of train and life. What we do in our Samford gym helps how you handle your life outside of the gym.

I entered the fitness industry in 2008 when I deferred from uni, but felt a void from not studying. I was working full time with elite endurance horses and thought educating myself as a rider in health and fitness was only going to benefit my endurance career. I first started CrossFit in 2010 and quickly fell in love with the methodology and completed my Level 1 coaches course the same year and began coaching soon after. The one thing that I love more than adapting and training using the CrossFit method is the community that comes with it.

You CAN achieve great things with a great program, you WILL achieve amazing things with amazing community behind you.

I helped found Hardware Junction in 2016 with the sole goal of creating a space that would allow a community to grow that will change people’s lives. No matter what size, shape, colour, sexual orientation Hardware Junction would be for everyone, to allow them to grow within themselves and become the best version of that person that they see. You will hear us say that what happens in the box will help you in your life outside. Its true, our community gives you strength that you thought you didn’t have and confidence to tackle anything that life throws at you. This is know why I love coaching!

Mumma. Wife. Teacher. Learner. CrossFitter. I’m a PE and Fitness teacher, working with the littlies in the Junior School all the way up to the ‘big kids’ in year 12. I love learning almost as much as I love teaching and coaching; I’m constantly seeking new knowledge, understandings and practices about things that interest me. And I’m a Mumma to two small ones who love the outdoors as much as I do.
When I’m not teaching or parenting, you’ll usually find me CrossFitting or Snowboarding. I’ve participated in and coached many different sports at various levels, but I’ve found nothing as rewarding, challenging and empowering as CrossFit. I was introduced to CF by a work colleague and found the variance and adaptation in the training interesting and clever, a nice shake up from my usual style of training. I like to think that the more I participate in CrossFit, the less I suck at life.

I have a passion for health and fitness and for CrossFit in particular. I love that it’s for everyone – the young, the young at heart, the fit, the less than fit, the injured, the pregnant, the athletes, and everyone in between. My number one aim is to help participants, including the littlies, be better versions of themselves. And with that will hopefully come increased health and well-being of the community. I endeavour for members to get stronger and faster, be more agile and more powerful with improved coordination and flexibility. But also, to grow as a community, forge strong friendships, improve confidence, increase happiness, sleep well, and be able to handle physical and emotional challenges better. I will help them to learn how to move well and safely to support athletic performance and movement in everyday life. But above all, CrossFit needs to be FUN!

Hi, I’m Oliver and I am 17 years old and in Year 12 at Hillbrook Anglican School. I started training at HJ in June 2017, back then I came in a couple of times a week. In late 2017 I started training every day with my dad at the 6am class (big shout out to you at 6am!) and I now train every day with the (elite) 5am class with my mum and dad. I attended and passed my CrossFit Level 1 Trainer course in January this year and have been coaching a few classes a week since then. The Level 1 course really helped me in understanding the correct movement patterns which has enabled me to improve as an athlete. This year I have participated in my second Open and have achieved the goal that I set myself at the end of last year’s Open – completing all of the workouts RX. I am really grateful to the HJ community for being so supportive, you are all amazing, thank you. At the end of this year my plan is to move to the UK and joined the Armed Forces over there, though my parents think it would be better for me to go to university first, however neither of them did so I think it’s slightly hypocritical. I intend to keep training CrossFit next year and would like to use my Level 1 qualification to get work in a box whilst I’m waiting to start training. My life goal is to be a better athlete than my dad, however I may never get there…

I began a profession in health and fitness after serving eight years as an Officer in the British Army, marrying the man of my dreams and having 4 amazing children. During one of my husbands deployments yoga basically kept me sane. On his return we were posted to Australia I completed my hatha and Kundalini yoga training as well as becoming a Pilates instructor I also gained a cert IV in fitness. I have now been teaching for 10 years. I teach on 3 different yoga teacher training and also deliver Pilates teacher training. I specialise in women’s health, pregnancy and fertility as well as PTSD. I am a holistic counselor, massage therapist, and aqua fit instructor. I am a fanatical about functional movement and believe it is the key to physical and mental wellbeing. Living the fast-paced, stress-filled lives that we do all-round exercise combined with community and good food is the best way to stay or return to good health. I joined HJ fully around 4 months ago and now attend every morning at 5am with my hubby and eldest son. I joined to improve my bone density and overall strength. It has far exceeded my expectation and I am a total convert. I believe yoga is the icing to an already pretty awesome cake.
