I can thank my dad for getting me into fitness and following a healthy lifestyle from a very young age, from working out in the home garage with him doing ‘old-school’ gym routines, to getting me and the family out playing sports, to always encouraging me to always just be myself!

CrossFit was introduced to me by a family friend who started one of the first CrossFit gym’s in Australia.  I thought he was a bit crazy but I went along to all his sessions, turns out he wasn’t crazy, just an early-adopter of the CrossFit Methodology!  After a few months I was hooked and used to drive an hour each way, just for his classes!

I started coaching in a CrossFit gym in 2009, by chance when my boys were in primary school, an opportunity came up that I hadn’t ever really thought about before. Turns out to be one of the best opportunities of my life, because now I have a job I love, in an industry that aligns with my values, and where I get to help people improve their lives, every day.

Working at Hardware Junction has been one of my best jobs! Being able to work in the same community where you live is something I feel very privileged to be able to do. Hardware Junction is warm and welcoming, encouraging and family friendly, all things that are important to create and promote fitness for all levels.

I enjoy working with all of our members, from brand new members who are sometimes really nervous to start, through to our more experienced members who are continuing to improve even years into their training journey.  I think I’m really lucky to be able to do my job, and even more lucky to have been able to gain some valuable experience over the past years working with some of Australia’s leading CrossFit coaches and educators.    I have done my time as a competitive athlete which I absolutely loved at the time.  Now, I like to spend my days coaching, having fun exercising with my workout buddies, and using all my fitness for other fun sports and activities.

I also have an interest in working with people who have chronic pain or injuries and want to get back in to doing activities they love, and see that CrossFit and functional movement are very important components of helping some members achieve those goals.

I am proud that I have made a career of helping people become healthier and fitter since 2011. First achieving my Certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness, then moving into CrossFit where I achieved my Level 1 & 2 as a CrossFit Coach. I have then gone on to continue learning so I can better help my clients overcome injury, develop accountability, and overall help them achieve their health and fitness goals while having fun.

I started out as a competitive cyclist in my junior years, racing at a national and international level. Soon after hopping off the bike, I found CrossFit and fell in love with the lifestyle. I have been lucky enough to compete in CrossFit all around Australia, and at some international events too.

CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, Certificate III & IV Fitness, Yoga Teacher Training, Pilates Teacher Training, First Aid, CPR, Blue Card

Fitness, health and wellbeing have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. After an 8 year career serving in the British Army I retired to become a Mother.  I then moved my focus towards the Health and Wellbeing Industry.

I completed my Certificate 4 in Fitness in 2011 and then went on to complete my Pilates training and extensive Yoga teacher training. After a long career of teaching in both these fields and as a counsellor and therapist I am now a Yoga Alliance International ERYT 500 Plus Senior Level 5 Teacher and a Clinical Member of The Australian Holistic Healers and Counsellors Association.

I began my journey with Crossfit  4 years ago and I have not looked back. One of my passions is the Longevity Programme I created here at HJ. The main purpose of which is to keep members independent and active for as long as possible. I am also hugely passionate about supporting women in their fitness journey, keeping everyone as flexible as possible and entertaining the younger members of our community with Crossfit Kids.

When not teaching at HJ I can be found teaching yoga at home or mixing up potions and spells.

I started doing CrossFit in 2017 at Hardware Junction and honestly fell in love with it straight away. It was a combination of the unique and fun environment that the CrossFit community offered that led to my passion for fitness. I have found that CrossFit has really had a strong impact on my life and has shaped me into who I am today. I enjoy CrossFit, as not only does it keep me physically healthy, but it also keeps me motivated and mentally strong.

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours). My love for CrossFit inspired me to do my Certificate III in Fitness, my Level 1 CF course and to become a coach.

I strongly believe that anyone can join our community and thrive. Hardware Junction is such a welcoming community and I’m so lucky to be a part of it! I look forward to working with the HJ members on their unique fitness journeys!
